Here We go Again

Hello all
New year, New Discussion
Is there a style of Government that can make sure everyone of its people is content?
If so, Which one?
If not, Why Not?

No. Because too many people have too different mind sets. You cannot please a conservative mindset by allowing gay marriage, for example. You cannot please a Liberal mindset without allowing gay marriage. As soon as everyone agrees in all the same things, then we can have a government that pleases everyone.

Unfortunatly there is even a more base issue. It has nothing to do with mind set, it has to do with greed. Marxism for example was perfect, in theory. But as soon as it was put in to action greed got in the way. In order for a government to please all people; all people must be seen as equals in the eyes of the government.

This would mean that the rich and the poor would be on equal footing, indeed that there would be no rich and poor, and that is just not good for the government. To do away with the chasum between the rich and poor would mean that a government wouldn't have an issue on which to be (re-)elected, nor would they have high powered friends to help them in the same persuit, or bail them out of trouble.

I think the best way this has ever been put is when George Orwell wrote "All animals are created equal, some are just more equal then others" (Animal Farm). Until that mantality is gone there will never be such a thing as a givernment that can and will please all it's people.
